Warehouse Manager
The Warehouse Manager will lead and optimize all aspects of warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and inter-site coordination. This role will ensure inventory integrity through robust shipping and receiving controls, accurate cycle counts, and efficient space utilization. The Warehouse Manager will also play a key role in implementing a new ERP/WMS system and driving process improvements across sites. Strong leadership, operational discipline, and cross-functional communication are essential.
Location: On-site at Downers Grove and Carol Stream, IL
Pay: $80,000-$105,000 plus up to 10% potential bonus

Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, picking, staging, and inventory control.
- Develop and enforce robust shipping and receiving processes to ensure accuracy, traceability, and accountability
- Implement and maintain strong inventory controls, including regular cycle counts and reconciliation processes.
- Lead warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, performance management, and development.
- Ensure cross-site communication and coordination to align operational goals and share best practices.
- Maintain warehouse condition and layout for maximum space utilization and workflow efficiency.
- Support ERP and WMS implementation, including system testing, user training, and SOP development.
- Monitor warehouse KPIs and use data to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Uphold and enforce safety standards (OSHA, FDA, internal policies) to maintain a secure working environment.
- Act as a problem-solver and escalation point for operational issues, driving resolution across teams.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of warehouse management experience, preferably in a food or regulated environment. Background in operational organization, with expertise in lean, Six Sigma, or other systems-based approaches.
- Proven experience in people management, with the ability to coach and develop associates.
- A commitment to a "people first" approach, ensuring a positive work environment and supporting employee development.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, FDA rules, and other regulatory requirements relevant to food production.
- Technical skills in setting up and managing end-to-end scanning systems, space modeling, and productivity tracking.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt and handle challenges in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with strong communication and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working in cold (10º - 40º) environments.
